CHINESE ANIMAL ZODIAC
A Collection Of Chinese Animal Zodiac
The Chinese Zodiac Animals originated around 27-97 AD, comprising 12 animals, each symbolizing a specific moment in time. In Chinese culture, these 12 animals—rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig—compose the Zodiac. Each animal corresponds to a new year in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, with an individual's Zodiac animal determined by the year of their birth.
I designed a different pattern for each animal, and a foldable booklet, detailing stories and personalities unique to each creature. Additionally, merchandise designs included handcrafted silk print tote bags and stickers.
As each Chinese year concludes and a new one begins, the Zodiac animal changes annually. The cycle repeats itself after twelve years.
